About Quotera

We got tired of shop software that made the day harder, so we built our own.

Quotera is field service software for small businesses, made by Quotera LLC, a two-person company in New Jersey founded in October 2025 by Jim Halligan and Joey Heaney. It runs quotes and estimates customers approve from their phone, work orders, invoices and card payments in your web browser, for auto repair shops, landscaping businesses, and one-person businesses in any trade.

Built by a shop

How did Quotera start?

Our number one goal has always been making it easy to use.
Joey Heaney, Co-founder

Jim runs Elite Mobile Auto Repair, a mobile repair business in Morris County, New Jersey, fixing cars in customers' driveways. He was paying $300+ a month for shop software that made his day harder.

Joey, a software engineer he has known since middle school, looked at that software and found security holes you could drive a truck through. So they built their own.

What started as a side project turned into late nights, weekend phone calls, and a lot of conversations with shop owners who'd been asking themselves the same things Jim had.

Elite Mobile Auto Repair runs on Quotera.

Joey Heaney
